Spirit of the wild courses 2008/2009 are in full swing - Wayne and I have just completed our group's second week. Irene and Fran have their second week coming up in November. As always we are in total wonder at the magic and healing power of Bergplaas - as most of Spirit of the Wild participants will attest to.
Each group draws to itself what they need reflected - be it is through the weather (lightning striking a tree; a beautiful thunderstorm or soft snow) amazing animal sightings (troops of baboons sitting on rocky outcrop of rocks with a herd of eland walking towards them)or something as simple as Black eagle presenting himself at certain moments through the week.
The richness of life is presented to us daily on Bergplaas and with a spring in our steps, a song in our hearts and laughter all around we experience the richness of ourselves.

Welcome to Bergplaas Nature Reserve
High above the ancient dust of the Plains of Camdeboo lies Bergplaas Nature Reserve, home of a unique healing initiative.
Once an arid, over-grazed place of desolation, Bergplaas is now an awesome space that sings of the magic of the power of Nature.
Seven years of rest and restoration have created a place of quiet where climax grasses cast their seed, hundred-year-old trees spread their shade, and the mystical Eland of the San roam with springbok, wildebeest, zebra, hartebeest and the small, shy steenbok.
As the land has healed, so too is healing offered to human beings ready to hear the call of the Spirit of Nature.
